Meet Bobby
The sun peeks over the hill. It climbs up, up, up into the sky. Soft light spills through the window of a small, cozy house. The light is warm and gold, like honey.
Inside the house, everything is quiet. The clock on the wall goes tick, tick, tick. A soft breeze moves the yellow curtains. They flutter gently, like little flags waving hello to the morning.
In one room, a boy sleeps in his bed. His blanket is blue, with tiny white stars on it. His hair is messy, sticking up in every direction. One of his feet peeks out from under the covers.
Slowly, his eyes open.
He blinks. He rubs his eyes with his hands. Then, all at once, a big smile spreads across his face.
"Good morning!" he says to no one at all, just because the day feels good already.
He sits up in bed. The room is bright and cheerful. On the wall, there is a poster of a rocket ship. On the shelf, there are three toy cars and a red ball. Everything in the room feels happy today, just like the boy.
He throws off his blanket and jumps out of bed. His feet land on the soft rug with a little thump.
"Bobby!" the boy calls out. "Bobby, where are you?"
